We have released a new version of the BeamworX software suite (version 2020.3). For a full description of the resolved issues please check the release notes that come with the installer. Registered users will receive a download link via email.

1) AIS Support

A new driver was added to decode AIS targets. This driver supports the new System Category “Targets”. The AIS symbols are visualized in the Chart View Display. By right clicking a target the vessel details are shown.

2) Automation

NavAQ now supports various forms of automation:
-Automatic Start/Stop Recording by area or line based.
-Automatic Transit Line Creation.
-Automatic Line Selection.
-Wing Line Creation based on multibeam coverage.

Together with the NavAQ AutoPilot driver a USV can be automatically commandeered to survey an area based on a dynamic on-the-fly generated survey line plan.

3) Mbe Multi-Detection support

Support for Kongsberg EM Extra-Detection message was added but also the decoding of Reson and Norbit multi-detection flags are now supported. These special detections are converted to “classes” and can be treated/visualised in a special way.
